Just a quick post from me this afternoon. I had to give myself an incentive to force myself to do the ironing in a timely fashion this weekend – I literally had a month’s worth of ironing to do and its my most hated household chore (Im really good at buying clothes that I can wear without ironing thankfully but it leaves me quite limited for work). So I promised myself I could go to Pro Nail Supplies when I was finished. For those of you not in Sydney, its a super cheap nail supply store that has China Glaze for $6 a bottle and the best bit is that its only a ten minute drive from my house. So here is what I picked up:
China Glaze Crackles in Black Mesh, Lightning and Fault Line ($9 each)
China Glaze Treehugger, Magical and Admire ($6 each)
Now I have to admit, this wasn’t my first trip to Pro Nail this month. I was also there at the beginning of the month as part of a Sydney Beauty Bloggers meetup. Most of the attendees have already posted about this meetup and their super hauls. For a lot of beauty bloggers it was their first visit and they were like kids in a candy store. However I exercised my rule of if I can’t carry it in my hands, then I can’t buy it (I can generally carry about 6-7 polishes in my hands which is reasonable). So that time round, I picked up these polishes:
China Glaze Sea Spray (yes it looks For Audrey here, the turquoise and blue of the other two freaked out my camera a bit), Passion in the Pacific and Beauty and the Beach ($6 each). Ive tested all of these and honestly I was disappointed with Passion in the Pacific and Beauty and the Beach. They come from the same collection as Coconut Kiss – my favourite China Glaze polish, however they’re both very sheer and don’t have the same depth to them as Coconut Kiss. I will post them at some point but they’re not high priority for swatching, let’s put it that way!
OPI Ink ($12), China Glaze Rodeo Fanatic ($6) and Essie Fifth Avenue ($6)
Thats all for tonight folks – watch out for tomorrow, I’ve got a little cracker of a NOTD coming up featuring my previously mentioned favourite China Glaze – Coconut Kiss and one of my new crackles amongst other things. Now its time to put up my feet and enjoy my final evening of my holiday with the finale of The Block (a renovation reality game show where four couples renovate a whole house in 8 weeks for those outside Australia – tonight is the auction to find out who wins) then the premiere of the new Underbelly series (a drama series about the “underbelly” of society – this season is about Sydney in the 20s, I’m so excited). Its like TV was made for me tonight.
Hope you all had a lovely weekend, what did everyone get upto? More than ironing like me I hope!
