Ready for some purple polish? I certainly hope so! Ranging from violet to berry shades, there is a purple polish in the Epic Journey collection for everyone! If you missed the first half of this collection, you can check out all the blues, greens and teal here. All swatches below are two coats with top coat.
Lets start where technically it all ended…The Fires Of Mordor – this shade is a dark aubergine purple with a slight gold shimmer and a scattered holo finish. The gold shimmer brings it to life while the scattered holo makes this polish glow while keeping a slightly vampy vibe.
While we’re hanging out in Mordor, we can’t forget The Eye Of Sauron, which has taken on a berry purple flaky form for the collection here. This is the lightest shade in the collection and has lots of orangey flakies mixed in to remind us of that creeping flaming eyeball of impending doom.
Still hanging in Mordor, Mount Doom is a duochrome that moves between a slightly muted violet to a medium purple, and you guessed it, there is a little bit of a scattered holo in here too. The holo is pretty shy in comparison to some of the others but it still gives a subtle twinkle to the polish. I wore this one for a few days and it really is multi-faceted, there are times when it looked dark blue rather than purple which always appeals to me, I love nails that look different in every light.
Finally we break free and head to the Mines Of Moria for the final polish of the collection – another dark aubergine purple shade, this time packed with a fine gold glitter and irridescent flakies that shift from blue to purple to pink. Of all the shades, this one was the one that truly felt to me like it was perfectly named, the flakies and glitter just make me think of gems buried deep in a mine waiting to be hauled out.
The whole collection is available to preorder now over at the Glam Polish website for AU$89.95 for the whole collection or AU$9.95-AU$10.95 for individual polishes. The official release date is 26th June.
