First up – Happy New Year to all my readers! (even though some of you may not quite be there yet when you read this). 2014 is already shaping up to a be a busy year for me – I have another niece or nephew on the way mid year, I’ve just started to get my head around wedding planning and I’m already booked until the middle of the year at work with projects.
Anyway there is nothing like a bit of leopard print on my nails to keep me smiling. As the only person working in my department this week (and as it turns out 1 of 5 out of roughly 60 people on my floor), I suspected I’d want something on my nails that I could mindlessly stare at to pass the time with no-one around to talk to. I also really wanted to do something with OPI My Vampire Is Buff so here is what I came up with.
I used OPI MY Vampire Is Buff and China Glaze For Audrey for my base colours and then freehanded on leopard print using dotting tools and China Glaze For Audrey and Foie Gras. I added leopard print on my thumb nails as well and actually repeated this on my toes too so for once in my life I was all matching!
When I was finished, I really liked how summery these nails looked, the colours really reminded me of the beach (even though I couldn’t tell you the last time I set foot on a beach!).
I took these photos the morning after and I had some shrinkage on my leopard print nails, I hate it when I get that fine line around the cuticle :( I probably could have used some moisturiser too but I wanted to get photos before I went out the work and got lots of tip wear from typing.
