I’m quite head over heels in love with the manicure I have to show you today. I used a combination of a sponged variety of teals and turquoises stamped with a modern tribal(ish) pattern to create this look.
I started with a base of ORLY Viridian Vinyl, then sponged on OPI Fly, Barielle Do Unto Others and Ulta3 Lily White to create a random mottled effect. I’m really loving stamping over these sponged bases at the moment. They don’t look all that spectacular on their own but I really enjoy the added texture behind stamping AND I can wear more of my favourite polishes at once!
After that I used my XL Squishy stamper to stamp on this tribal pattern from Cheeky XL Plate A – I’ve used this stamp a few times recently but this is my first time showing it here. I really like the strong geometric design but it also lends itself really well to this look with the less than perfect stamping giving the overall nails a slightly “worn” feel. This is a perfect example of how the air bubbles that I get with my XL stamper can add rather than detract from a manicure. Against the sponged background, a perfect stamp would look too harsh with a bold design like this I think.
