While I’m not a fan of the commercialism of Valentine’s Day (there won’t be any red roses in my house or spending a fortune on dinner for me), it is a great excuse to practice my freehand hearts. I actually did this a few weeks ago when I got all these polishes in the space of a couple of days and they were crying out to be put together.
I’m pretty proud of this, even if some of my hearts look more like Mickey Mouse! I started out with a base of Color Club Nomadic In Nude (which incidentally I’m totally in love with, it’s a good base for neutral leopard print too). On my ring finger I then tried an alternating heart pattern using Essie It’s Picture Perfect and China Glaze Secret Periwinkle. The rest of the nails I freehanded a french tip using Essie It’s Picture Perfect and then I added the heart, a dot and a stripe to the edge to hide any wobbles where I freehanded the tip! I was pretty happy with the end result and massively proud of doing it all freehand instead of just busting out the stamping plates as usual.

I love this design so much!! AND it looks like something I could actually attempt!
Perfection, so soft and cute!
