I treated myself to a couple of new stamping plates recently from an Australian website called Messy Mansion. I had been eyeing off one in particular with an oriental fish image for ages, so I finally grabbed them a couple of weeks ago and had to try out that fish picture asap! I started with a base of RBL Piu Mosso (swatches coming soon) and then stamped various images from plate A48 using China Glaze Magical.
I did struggle with this plate a little bit as I found the engraving was a bit deep, so the images tended to blur slightly when stamped because too much polish was picked up. In the end, I found scraping twice helped which ou can see by how much clearer the stamp on my pointer finger is than on the rest of my nails. A48 features a wide range of scrolling flourishes as well and the best bit is all the images I used are mirrored on the plate – I always really like when there is a mirrored version available for my other hand.

I would definitely recommend checking out the Messy Mansion website, they have lots of unusual stamping plates and I’ve heard really good things from fellow nail addicts so the quality is good too unlike some sellers out there (Born Pretty Store I’m looking at you and your rubbish knock off plates)

This is both lovely design and a gorgeous colour combination.
Love the stamping plate designs! Thanks for introducing me to Messy Mansion – I’m off to stalk their store now.
For a long time my only stamping plates were bps plates, but once I got bundle monster and Gals, I realized what I was missing with the bps plates. I guess I’ll have to think about messy mansion too. This is such a pretty manicure.
OMG! Absolutely adorable! I loved it!

I hate when you buy plates and they are either etched too shallow or too deep. That’s really the problem with all these indie people coming up with new plates. They don’t take the time to do it right. But I have to admit some really do great things and designs like Nailz Craze for example! This is a gorgeous mani!
Lovely manicure!
