I have two beautiful polishes from a new Aussie indie polish brand today – Alanna Renee. Some of you may already know Alanna by her blog – Pretty Purple Polish. I had the privileged of meeting Alanna a couple of weeks ago at a local meet up and she brought along her polishes for us all to see which ended up turning into a buying frenzy! It was such a nice novelty to physically see a polish before buying it for a change as 95% of my purchases are online.

First is Tranquil, a creme turquoise polish with fine purple and white glitters and a scattering of medium lilac hexes and turquoise squares. I wore three coats of Tranquil to get it to opacity and really enjoyed the delicate effect the finer glitter gave this polish. The formula wasn’t gritty at all and smoothed out beautifully with a top coat. This reminds me a little of Smitten Polish Aquarius in a more muted form with a brighter base colour. Right up my alley!

The other polish I picked up is Mardi, a stunning pink jelly loaded with fine gold glitter (almost fine enough to be a shimmer) and small pink hexes. I love polishes like this where there are no larger glitters and it creates a uniform finish. I layered Mardi over OPI Senorita Roselite which you can see a straight swatch of below. It’s like these two polishes were made to go together. When I first saw the bottle shots of Alanna’s collection, I skipped right over Mardi, drawn towards the blues and purples as always but as soon as swatches started to appear I knew I needed this polish. It’s completely different to anything else I own and I love it!
Because Alanna Renee has only just launched in January, these polishes are only available to Australians right now, but she is working on international shipping options, so fingers crossed for all my international readers that these will be available soon to you too! Polishes are priced at a very reasonable AU$7.99

As always, stunning pictures & I love that OPI ;-)
Australian people make such pretty polishes!!
