I recently received a few of the Girly Bits Winter 2012 collections polishes…luckily these polishes aren’t particularly Christmas-centric in their colour scheme, so I haven’t missed the boat by not getting around to showing them to you all until mid January. I’ve already shown you all Winter’s Long Nap a few weeks ago in a grey polish spam post. Today I have two more polishes from the collection to show you all, plus one other:
Eight Crazy Nights is literally a random mix of blue, silver and holo glitters in a variety of shapes, including diamonds, in a clear base. This is two coats as I found it a little difficult to get an even application with one coat. I layered it over Ulta3 Midnight to give it a deep, contrasting base colour.
Ornamental, My Dear Watson is a beautiful mix of yellow, gold, turquoise, light blue, copper, lilac and pink glitter in a variety of hexes and sqaures. This combination seems like a gorgeous mix to wear for a party without being completely multicoloured. I really like how all the colours complement each other and aren’t too in your face. I layered this one over China Glaze Rodeo Fanatic but the polish shimmer was completely hidden by the glitter.
Finally Into The Night which is a black jelly with multicoloured fine glitter in it. I layered this up to opacity in 3-4 layers depending on the nail. The main difference between this polish and all the black scattered holos that we saw over the holidays is that this polish doesn’t need the right lighting for the multicoloured sparkle to come out and play. I like that as in winter, for most countries sunlight can be in short supply! For those of you who do get some sunlight, there is some extra holo glitter packed in there too.
