In my infinite laziness this Boxing Day, I can’t be bothered to get up and get the memory card out my camera, so I’ve raided my swatch folder and come up with a little beauty I never got round to posting – Pretty Serious Liquid Leprechaun from their Halloween collection. I loved this polish, so I’m amazed I never posted it. A green jelly base with fine green glitter, small gold hexes and fine holo glitter gives this polish a crazy amount of sparkle and depth.
I layered it over China Glaze Starboard but I don’t think it really needed it as it’s pretty much opaque in two coats. It’s also super smooth and only needs one layer of top coat for a glassy finish which is the icing on the cake for me. It gets bonus points for being both my corporate colours and national colours too. I will be reaching for this one for Australia Day and work events until I hit the bottom of the bottle I suspect (back up needed I think!)
On a more personal note to my readers who actually read my posts, I hope you all had a lovely day off yesterday if you get Christmas Day as a public holiday in your country, regardless of if you’re celebrating or not. I celebrated with the family yesterday and today I went to see The Hobbit (which turned into a 3.75hr saga after the projector failed twice) and now I’m indulging in some online shopping before going back to work tomorrow :)
No polish in my Christmas haul, no-one in my family is brave enough to try and buy me something in case I already have it but my sister in law did try to get me an Etsy gift voucher only to need a US billing address :( So I got cash that I had to promise to spend on polish instead! What did you all get upto and did Santa gift any polish to you?
Here’s a quick happy snap from Christmas Day of me and my boyfriend – he was designated steak BBQ chef as we skipped the traditional turkey or ham in favour of surf and turf this year. Doesn’t he look fetching in my mum’s apron!
