How could I resist a Big Bang Theory themed polish! When Different Dimension had a sale a few months back, I went on a mini rampage and picked up a few of her polishes, of which Soft Kitty Warm Kitty was the first one into my cart! This polish a is a soft grey jelly with charcoal, black and holo glitter.
I put a coat over a gradient using OPI Ski Teal We Drop and China Glaze Kinetic Candy. I tried to keep the glitter concentrated toward the base of my nails to add to the gradient effect. The grey jelly base did a great job toning down the gradient and hiding the imperfections, in the exception of my pointer nail where a hair got stuck on my nail while I was doing the gradient. A token contribution from my kitties!
Definitely an eye catching manicure, most of those silver glitter flakes are holo so it sparkles in the sun, while still elegant enough to attract compliments from my more reserved coworkers!

Love this look!! Indeed very eyecatching! What a great idea! I’m gonna have to try this out too :D
This turned out so soft and pretty!!
This looks awesome, I love the gradient under glitter idea! Wow it has really changed the shade of Ski Teal We Drop hasn’t it – I never would have recognised it! Did you do the mixing two colours on alfoil or paint straight onto the sponge? Because I really love how well it has blended, I can’t believe there’s only two colours there, it looks like three!
Your comment has made me think, my gradient may have used Suzi Says Feng Shui, not Ski Teal We Drop. I did this mani a few weeks ago.
This looks great!!
Love this look! Am also a Big Bang Theory fan. Are these your natural nails?
Yes they are my natural nails.
Sigh. How I wish my nails would grow like that.
It took me a long time to get to this stage – I found that a combination of taking Biotin and using Nail Tek Foundation II and OPI Nail Envy Maintenance helps to keep them this length.
This is SO pretty. I loved it on Instagram and I still love it now. You have such a tasteful nail style. It’s refreshing.
Thanks Rochelle! I didn’t want to take this one off – you were right, the Different Dimension polishes are really good!
Not only is your gradient perfect, I love the glitter too!
This is so perfect! I would have never thought to layer it over a gradient :)
