NOTD: Fishnet Nails
24 Jun 2012

So I made up my mind, it must come to an end….don’t worry, not the end of blogging, just the end of my indecision over what to do while my middle nail grows back out on my swatching hand.  (And I couldn’t resist quoting ABBA).  For now I’m going to use my non-swatching hand so bear with me while I get used to taking photos of the other hand.  I’ve felt like something is missing without blogging this week so there is no way I can stay on hiatus until this nail grows back.  My middle nail on this hand is a bit dodgy too, I broke the corner off this one quite a long way down on the first day of my holiday but I’m hoping with a bit of strategic angling, it shouldn’t show up in my pictures too much.

Anyway today I’ve got a nice winter NOTD for you all – I’ve been enjoying dark blue polishes all week long with my shorty nails so it was about time I shared.  This is two coats of Ulta3 Midnight Fever, a navy blue polish with a subtle blue shimmer and stamped with a nameless Australis polish which I like to think of as a Champagne Chrome, perfect for stamping!  I used a fine fishnet full nail design from my jumbo nail plates for this and I’m in love with the way it came out – it looks so classy!

It was only when I cropped a close up shot that I realised that it’s small stars, not circles at the crossover in the pattern, how cute are they!  If only I could sit with a magnifying glass and look at my nails all day!

This is a just a short post as I’m super busy at home being my first weekend back.  I’ve got laundry all over the place, plus I’m trying to reorganise my polish stash (I catalogued it all yesterday, I’m at 316 bottles not including about another 15 I have coming in the mail).  I also have to do some paperwork my partner’s permanent residency visa plus I finally got talked into reading Fifty Shades of Grey which I won’t deny has ruined my productivity this weekend.  But I promise I’m back to normal programming now :)

  1. I love this stamp, which plate did you use? :)

    • It was the A plate from my jumbo plate collection I picked up on DHGate (I have a post about it here) – the same plates are available on Magno Nails as well I think. Im also pretty sure that Konad have a similar pattern on one of their plates.

  2. Wow this has turned out so well! The stamp has transferred perfectly – great effect :)

  3. This is so gorgeous! I love it!
