Yep, I still have more Orly polishes to show you all from! Both of these polishes come from Orly’s Holiday 2011 collection. I loved the french names (my partner is Quebecois so I always come home proud that I have something “french” and that I know what it means). I keep telling him I’ve only bought Oui to wear on my nails if he ever decides to propose to me – I don’t think it’s helping my cause haha!
Oui is a purple foil with a really strong gold duochrome – there are other polishes out there similar to this finish – Zoya Faye and OPI Rally pretty Pink (from the Serena Williams Grand Slam – France collection). Honestly I would love this if it was more of a shimmer and less of a foil. I find in the sun the gold is washed out which takes away the prettiness of this polish. Oh I dinged my pointer finger just before I took my photos, so a rare 3 fingers swatch here! I also smudged my ring fingers which is where the wrinkles came from. Fail!
Now Au Champagne was an absolute surprise for me. Everyone was raving about it and having a white shimmer has been on my hit list for a long while now so I chucked it into the cart along to up my Orly count basically! This polish is so wearable and elegant. It does dry to a satin finish which doesn’t do much for me, but with a top coat it sparkles in lots of pastel colours – I picked out turquoise, green, purple, pink and gold. Completely in love with this one.
