Through my love of nails, I’ve also become a big fan of hand cream to keep my fingers in tip top condition for swatch photos. I’m always working through a variety of hand creams but everything has to come to an end – most devastatingly my Aesop Resurrection Hand Balm which is a gorgeous mandarin orange and lavender scented hand cream that sinks in quickly and leaves my hands super soft. Other hand creams I’ve been using in the last months include Lush Tiny Hands Serum and Burt’s Bees Almond Milk Hand Creme (this also smells amazing but sadly comes in a heavy glass jar so only good for my desk at work). Luckily the Hand Cream Fairy was good to me for Christmas and now I have a huge variety of new products to try. Originally this was just going to be one post but I prattled on forever and then the heavens opened (yet again) here in Sydney so it’s now a three part mini series. First up is….
Kit Hand Repair Balm
Ok…so I bought this one myself just before Christmas, but based on a very good review from Jacie over at You’ve Got Nail a few months back. It sounded like Aesop Resurrection Hand Balm’s big sister and it’s true. This is quite a greasy hand cream that contains orange peel, lavender and chamomile essential oils. Despite being a bit greasy it does sink in nicely and doesn’t make my hands overly slick, just a bit sticky for about 10 minutes. Another nice touch is that it has built in sun protection – SPF 15, which is definitely appreciated when the sun can be so strong here. I also like that it’s in a squeezy tube, I’m all about practicality.
When to use: I use this last thing before I go to bed at night and just before I leave the house in the morning so it can sink in on the way to the station
How much to use: I find a pea sized amount is plenty so it will go a long way
Price: AU$24.95 for 75ml
Where to buy: Kit Cosmetics at Myer or Kit Cosmetics Online Store (www.kitcosmetics.com.au) AUS/NZ shipping available. International shipping available on request only.

Ooooh this sounds delightful. Im a bit of a hand cream whore (said in the nicest way possible) myself. Perhaps this one needs to come to my house and meet the hand cream family!
