So after my failed freehand nail art attempt, I went back to what I know best – stamping! Ive only really got the Christmas bug this week after wrapping all my gifts and these nails are definitely helping the situation. There have been so many great Christmas manicures floating around all month but I find it hard to embody snowflakes and ice and penguins etc. Cold and Christmas don’t go together for me and people would think I was crazy if I started walking around with winter scenes on my nails in the middle of summer! I was in Kikki K (a stationery store) the other day and they had some beautiful red and white gift wrapping sets which inspired these nails:
From left to right:
Pinky finger – base of OPI Alpine Snow stamped with candy stripes from BundleMonster plate BM-20 in Konad Special Red Polish
Ring Finger – base of Zoya Sooki stamped with snowflakes from BundleMonster plate BM-14 in Konad Special White Polish
Middle Finger – base of OPI Alpine Snow stamped with a leafy pattern (reminds me of Poinsettia flowers) from BundleMonster plate BM-205 in Konad Special Red Polish
Index Finger – base of OPI Alpine Snow dotted with Zoya Sooki
Here is another more awkwardly angled photo to show my thumb nail too which has a base of Zoya Sooki and a top coat of OPI White Shatter. My only wish was that I had a red shatter so I could invert the design on my other hand but never mind.
Edit: I later updated this by taking off the crackle combo and putting China Glaze Ring In The Red over Zoya Sooki for a glittery accent – it worked much better but I never got a photo thanks to Sydney failing to remember it’s summer.
What’s your favourite Christmas color combo? Do you favour the classic green and red combo? Maybe some gold and glitter?

Adorable! I love it – Christmas manicure perfection!
Thanks! I loved wearing this manicure.
Perfectly done! “Skittles” are amazing:)
I love skittles when I have the time, one or two designs are never enough!
This is so perfect! :) I love the combo and your stamping skills are awesome. :)
Thanks, I was really careful about my stamping on this one. I still lost some edges on the snowflakes.
Wow they look spectacular. God i wish i had 1/2 of you’re skills. Really loving the candy cane stripes. So fitting.
It just takes practice and the right tools, anyone could do this with right stamping plates and polishes. Thats what I love about stamping, no real artistic talent required! Have a lovely Christmas tomorrow..
These are stunning! I can’t do freehand either I only stamp and I love it! My your nails are stunning! Have been following you on twitter too! I just love your blog!
Thanks, I was very proud of them.
I really like this for a chrissy mani. Love the shade of red used too… it’s prefect.
Thanks for the Christmas inspiration, I have tried to replicate this with Konad plates and it turned out great. Thanks!
That’s great to hear! Skittles are such fun
