This was a quick NOTD I threw together the other week to freshen up a manicure I had put on a few days previously so please ignore the tipwear!  I’d been dying to try a design like this for ages – I originally came across my inspiration on Pinterest http://pinterest.com/pin/125791804/ (is it any wonder I love this site – I see so many awesome nail art ideas on here) where a design that belonged to Tara of For Your Nails Only had been pinned.  I’m still struggling a bit to get consistently sized dots using a dotting tool so I thought this would be good practice.  I also used tape for my stripes to give that a try at the same time.  I had a base of China Glaze For Audrey on already so I went plain and simple and used white for everything.  I really liked how this came out but it took a long time to do all the clean up of the half dots around the edge of my nails so it probably wouldn’t be something I would repeat in a rush.  I really enjoy geometric type patterns and probably don’t use them enough.  What type of patterns do you all like on your nails the best?

For the observant among you, you will also have noticed that my photos and watermark has changed in this photo.  About a month ago I took the plunge and got my own domain – thenailpolishproject.com and ever since Ive been working on rebuilding my blog over there along with still posting here.  I’m still about two weeks away from launching it – I’m aiming for 10th October, however over the weekend I was working on photos and designed my new watermark.  I’m too excited to wait (and it cuts out some work for me with reworking any posts I write between now and then) so from here on you will be seeing my new watermark on all my photos and my old border is out the door :)
